Update: Former executive's discrimination suit settled by New York Mets

Back in September 2014, we began discussing a pregnancy discrimination lawsuit filed by a former ticket sales executive with the New York Mets. The lawsuit stated specifically that the team's chief operating officer teased and humiliated the woman on multiple occasions because she wasn't married but was having a baby. This mistreatment, the lawsuit alleged, sometimes occurred in front of other male executives.

Pregnancy discrimination suit leveled against New York Mets

Discrimination against pregnant women in the workplace is an ongoing problem that often has to be addressed in a legal capacity to facilitate change for the better. In addition to achieving justice for themselves, pregnant women who speak up about discrimination also help protect other women who could face a similar situation.
